From Pre-Med to Fashionista
In January of 2025, I wrote and shot photos for a feature article on Northeastern University graduate, Yeani Kwon the revolutionary behind The Fashion Society’s first ever off-campus runway show. For this article I worked closely with Kwon, meeting for interviews and speaking over the phone. I additionally interviewed two other informants. The story was later published with Northeastern, The Huntington News.
Midwifery: A community Reborn at Home
In April of 2025, I dove deep into the untold story of home birth midwifery. In a little more than a week, I interviewed three midwives including the president and vice-president of the Massachusetts chapter of the NACPM, a home birth midwifery client, the chief midwife at Mass General, and a clinical expert in womens health. Additionally, I did extensive historical and data research on midwifery in the US which I incorporated into my article visually. With my writing I hoped to deconstruct the misconceptions of home birth midwifery while giving thoughtful, digestible, context for current affairs.
